Wave honours Plastic Omnium, Forvia, Renault Group and Emil Frey at its diversity awards
The Wave association presented its automotive diversity awards on 7 March 2024. Plastic Omnium took the prize for overall gender balance, Renault Group and Forvia for the strongest improvement, and Emil Frey France for a campaign spotlighting women in the group.

Women on boards and executive committees: France passes the United States for the first time
Laws encouraging women's appointment to boards and management committees have had a fast and effective impact. France now ranks ahead of the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. The number of women actually running companies, however, remains very low — as in most industrialised countries.

From 1 March 2026 companies must adopt quotas to raise the proportion of women in leadership bodies. They follow earlier measures that have already proved themselves. What remains is to draw more young women towards technical and growing professions — and that means changing the culture of society as a whole.
