ESG: the CGEM publishes its barometer
Responsible governance practice in Morocco came to light in Casablanca on Friday with the presentation of the first Barometer, which examined governance practice at the country's companies. The initiative, led by the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc, the Institut Marocain des Administrateurs, the Club des Femmes Administrateurs and Ethics & Boards, covered 90 listed companies as well as companies holding the CGEM's ESG label.
Le Baromètre a révélé une communication générale sur la diversité de genre et l’indépendance au sein des conseils d’administration. En effet, un tiers des entreprises étudiées divulguent des informations détaillées sur le fonctionnement de leurs conseils, y compris le nombre de réunions, la participation et la rémunération non-exécutive.
