Responsible Governance Barometer — Morocco 2024
Casablanca, 11 December 2024 — the second edition of the Responsible Governance Barometer was presented yesterday, a partnership between the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc, the Club des Femmes Administrateurs, the Institut Marocain des Administrateurs and Ethics & Boards.
The barometer assesses the governance practice of Moroccan companies each year. It is part of a continuous improvement approach and seeks to promote excellence in responsible governance. "Responsible governance is not limited to meeting legal and regulatory obligations. Its purpose is to help build resilient companies, capable of generating a positive impact on their ecosystem," said Chakib Alj, president of the CGEM.
This edition draws on 2023 data collected from 90 Moroccan companies making public offerings that had published their reports before September 2024. It also offers a detailed comparison with the results of the first edition, unveiled in December 2023.
