Nasdaq wants to impose more diversity on American boards

The American exchange operator wants to shake up the boardroom. Nasdaq will ask companies listed on its platform to disclose the composition of their governing body by ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation. In time it wants companies to allocate at least two seats — one to a woman, the other to a person from an ethnic minority or the LGBTQ community.
